Omega Ensemble Release their 2017 Season

Whether you experience Omega Ensemble for the first time, or you are a loyal subscriber, their 2017 season continues their vision of showcasing a unique chamber repertoire and lesser known gems.
Omega Ensemble 2017 Concert Series
The 2017 season is packed full of wow factors from iconic chamber works including Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet and Schubert’s Piano Quintet “The Trout” as well as Australian works by Ian Munro, Ben Hoadley and Cyrus Meurant.
This year, Omega Ensemble moves into it’s next chapter, announcing Russian born and trained pianist, Maria Raspopova as Co-Artistic Director, joining David Rowden and bringing a wealth of knowledge and a new perspective on programming.
In addition to Omega Ensemble’s four concert Virtuoso Series at City Recital Hall and three concert Master Series at Sydney Opera House, Omega will be launching their lunch time series, A Taste of Omega, a five concert series at City Recital Hall. This series is an insight into the musicians and their instruments, providing an informal and informative insider’s view of chamber music.
This year we reveal ourselves by reducing our instrumental forces and presenting artists in candid works where there is no place to hide. This year is all about honesty, and we hope you enjoy this thrilling journey with us this season.” Maria Raspopova Co-Artistic Director.
