About The Music

In the beautiful surrounds of the Art Gallery of NSW, Omega Ensemble presents a concert version of Ben Hoadley’s chamber opera Miss Brill. Based on a short story by Katherine Mansfield, with a libretto by Craig Brush, the opera tells the story of a day in the life of a lonely spinster living in a seaside town in regional France in the 1920s.

Along with music by Glinka and Beethoven,  this will be a wonderful combination of great music and great art.

* This performance includes a viewing of the current exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. Exhibition viewing at 6:30pm with concert at 7:30pm.
