Omega Ensemble closed 2016 with an exhilarating evening of Mozart's great works. With special guest Paul Meyer, conducting and performing, our audience was treated to spectacular performances from both Paul and the ensemble which included a solo from Ben Hoadly on Bassoon, exquisite and masterful playing by concertmaster Andrew Haveron and for the first time Omega Ensemble performed in an expanded for of Chamber Orchestra with over 23 musicians on stage.
This evening also marked two milestones for Omega Ensemble. It was also the official launch of their 2017 Season and the launch of their debut album. Omega is proud to announce that Russian-born and trained pianist, Maria Raspopova will join David Rowden as Co-Artistic Director for 2017 and beyond.
