New Now continues Omega Ensemble’s commitment to the next generation of Australian musical talent. Developed through our acclaimed nine-month CoLAB Composer Accelerator Program - under the mentorship of Joff Bush, Elena Kats-Chernin, Nico Muhly, Bryce Dessner and Chris Cerrone - this concert presents four world premieres by an exciting new cohort of rising creators - Adriel Sukkumar, Alex Maltas, Frankie Dyson Reilly and Meta Cohen.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, each piece guarantees to offer unique musical perspectives and bold new contributions to the national repertoire.

Entering its seventh year in 2027, New Now has become a vital national platform for the discovery of homegrown talent. These sold out annual concerts bring together artists, industry and adventurous audiences who are passionate about new music.

Together, these four premiere works capture the spirit of living music - grounded in collaboration and driven by artistic risk.
