Music in Motion and Uncharted Territories

This November, Omega Ensemble brings a bespoke program to the Orange Regional Conservatorium, pairing a highly anticipated world premiere by celebrated Australian composer Paul Stanhope with Franz Schubert’s globally renowned Piano Quintet.

Stanhope’s new commission - his very first Clarinet Concerto - showcases his distinctive, engaging voice, packed with immense lyrical depth and rhythmic vitality. It is a must-hear new work from one of the country’s finest musical minds.

Alongside this premiere, Schubert’s timeless Piano Quintet “The Trout” comes alive on stage, revealing a world of clarity and grace. From its bold opening flourish to its joyful, dancing conclusion, the music moves with effortless ease, its melodies unfolding as if carried on air.

Together, these pieces invite audiences on an unforgettable journey into uncharted territories.
